Capsule Collection: Motion in Time

Upcycling of Fabrics
Study of Jersey

Motion in Time explores the fluidity and transformation of fabric, form, and the body in motion. This collection considers the relationship between movement and time - how garments can capture fleeting gestures and reflect change as something continuous and alive.

Beginning with a process of draping and reworking pre-loved jersey garments, the collection finds beauty in the natural flow and stretch of the material, giving new life to textiles that already hold traces of previous stories. Soft neutral tones were chosen to allow the forms to speak independently.

Inspired by the rhythms of wind and water, Motion in Time reflects the ongoing movement found in nature. The garments evolve from a study of motion itself - drawing from early chronophotographic photography and the philosophy of wabi-sabi, where imperfection and impermanence are embraced as part of the design process. This balance between control and freedom allows each piece to feel both considered and unique, shaped through experimentation and response to the materiality utilised.

Ultimately, Motion in Time showcases garments that exist in a state of change - pieces that move with the body and hold a quiet sense of life within their form.
